Go Watanabe
M5A5
2024.9.20 (Fri.) - 11.4 (Mon.)
Centro de Arte Moderna Gulbenkian, Lisbon, Portugal
Go Watanabe’s solo exhibition “M5A5” is being held at the Centro de Arte Moderna Gulbenkian (CAM) in Lisbon from September 20th. This exhibition is part of the program “Engawa – A Season of Contemporary Art from Japan” which focuses on Japanese contemporary art. It will feature the international debut of one of Watanabe’s signature works, “M5A5″, created using 3D computer graphics. The work is inspired by the commonplace scene of a cupboard. The dishes within the cupboard move slowly, gradually breaking into multiple perspectives before eventually transitioning to the sink. This movement reflects various viewpoints on the uncertain and diverse nature of reality and the essence of things. We hope you will enjoy this striking presentation, which consists of four large-scale projection videos.
