Hiroshima City University Art Museum is pleased to present “Negative Capability“, a solo exhibition by Takahiro Iwasaki starting October 20. This will be the first time in 20 years, since 2003, that Iwasaki’s solo exhibition will be held in his hometown of Hiroshima.
The title of this exhibition, “Negative Capability,” was coined by the English poet John Keats, and refers to “the ability to be in the midst of uncertainty, wonder, and doubt, even if one cannot reveal all the facts and reasons”. We hope you will take this opportunity to view Iwasaki’s new installation, which takes on ambiguity and uncertainty and reflects them through a multifaceted perspective in today’s uncertain future.
