大阪生まれ。 ベルリン在住。
愛知県立芸術大学で絵画を学んだ後に渡独、デュッセルドルフ芸術アカデミーで、ヨーゼフ・ボイスに師事したイェルク・インメンドルフのもとで学ぶ。
ナ・カムラはルネサンスから現代までのヨーロッパの絵画を積極的に活用し革新的かつ独特な手法で新たな表現を獲得している。画集で見つけた16〜18世紀の絵画や版画作品の画像をスキャンした後、簡易なレーザープリンターで出力することで現われる色すじ(線)や縞模様を取り入れ、現代に至るまで何世紀にもわたる時間の厚みを絵画に包含させようと試みる。また、遠近法(透視図法)に着目し、「地平線」を画家が人工的に作り出したフィクショナルな視覚と捉え、世界の新しいイメージを創出するための重要なエレメントとして「地平線」をたびたび描く。さらに、キャンバスの周囲に余白を描くことでフレーム自体を絵画に内包し、それが「完結した絵画であること」、「絵画自体をモチーフにしていること」を声高に表明する。油絵具と水彩絵具を混ぜ合わせるなどして開発された独自のカラーパレットから生まれた美しい色彩、輪郭を持たない繊細な色面が重層的に配置されたダイナミックな画面、身体的所作を連想させる印象的なブラッシュストロークは、多くの人々を魅了し続けている。
2014年にクンストラーハウス・ベタニエン(ベルリン)、および、オルデンブルガー・クンストフェライン(オルデンブルグ)で個展「„o lala, von was fuer glaenzenden liebhabereien ich traeumte!“」、2015年にビルバオ・アルテ現代美術センター(ビルバオ)で個展「Horizonte, arco iris y horizonte」、2017年にはオストハウス美術館(ハーゲン)で大規模な個展「Steine legen, Aepfel lesen」、CFA(コンテンポラリー・ファイン・アーツ・ベルリン)、ドーン・ダエネーンス美術館(ベルギー)でも立て続けに個展を開催するなど、ヨーロッパを中心に目覚ましい活躍を続けている。
2013年、ファルケンロート賞(ドイツ)を受賞。
